Job summary

United Digestive in Georgia seeks a Research Nurse Coordinator to support the Clinical Research Department and principal investigators with clinical and organizational tasks, aligned to trial procedures and protocol requirements. The role provides nursing support for research trials, studies, and projects in an in-office setting.

The coordinator will follow GCP guidelines, maintain data integrity, manage specimens and communications, obtain informed consent, train staff, and ensure HIPAA

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in Georgia
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent
• Minimum of one year clinical research experience
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and healthcare software
• Experience with phlebotomy, specimen collection and processing
• IATA Packaging and Shipping Infectious Materials certification or within 30 days
• CITI Training within 30 days of employment
• BLS Certification within 30 days of employment

Responsibilities

• Recruits and screens potential patients and obtains informed consent.
• Assists in patient education about benefits and risks of participating in a clinical trial
• Follows trial protocols to collect and document data including laboratory collection and vital assessments
• Provides direct nursing care according to UD’s standards of practice
• Administers investigational product per protocol requirements
• Completes safety evaluations and notifies investigators and sponsors per guidelines
• Maintains data management per study requirements
• Maintains equipment and supplies for research studies
• Ensures HIPAA compliance and maintains confidentiality
• Performs duties as assigned by principal investigators and Clinical Research Manager
