Georgetown University is seeking a Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator I (CRNC I) within the Center for Translational Transplant Medicine. The role executes protocol procedures, manages data, and safeguards participant welfare in collaboration with PIs and MedStar Georgetown Transplant Institute.

The RN will perform nursing care across study visits, monitor safety, assist with recruitment and informed consent, and ensure ALCOA+ documentation and GCP compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing with active nursing license required.
• 2–7 years of recent clinical nursing experience in a hospital, clinic, or similar health care setting.
• Nursing competency skills per scope of practice (e.g., vital signs, assessments, ECG/EKG, injections).
• At least 1 year clinical trials experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, drug calculations, clinical medicine, clinical trials and GCP concepts.
• Detail oriented and meticulous in all aspects of work.
• Strong follow through and initiative.
• Professional demeanor and strong communication with public, physicians and co-workers.
• Ability to work well independently as well as in a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word/Excel and EHR/databases; willingness to learn.
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
• Knowledge of GCP, HIPAA and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with study protocols and perform protocol-specific assessments within the RN scope.
• Protect rights, safety, and welfare of participants; monitor adverse events and safety reporting.
• Participate in recruitment and consent processes.
• Prepare, maintain, and manage source documents and Case Report Forms per ALCOA+ and ICH GCP.
• Assist regulatory teams with submissions, safety amendments, audits, and delegation logs.
• Educate participants, families, and clinical staff on study protocols and products.
