Job summary

Georgetown University seeks a Clinical Research Coordinator for oncology trials within the Clinical Research Management Office (CRMO) of Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center. You will coordinate trials from start to finish, interfacing with participants and staff to ensure protocol adherence and patient safety.

Responsibilities include consent, scheduling, specimen collection, CTMS updates, and sponsor communications, with stringent attention to regulatory guidelines and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific or health-related field is required.
• 3–5 years of experience in clinical research preferred.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Reliable and able to prioritize competing responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the overall lifecycle of assigned clinical trials.
• Interface with participants to obtain informed consent per protocol and regulations.
• Schedule and coordinate study procedures while maintaining protocol integrity and patient safety per GCP.
• Triaging phone calls and proactive patient communication.
• Coordinate collection of research specimens per protocol requirements.
• Schedule in-service training for staff on trials.
• Update CTMS with patient information and dates to support financial management.
• Collaborate with Data Managers to ensure complete and accurate documentation; assist with queries.
• Schedule/facilitate sponsor meetings (PSV, SIV, MV).
• Document and report serious adverse events per protocol and policy with PI input.
• Act as liaison with hospital staff, IRB, committees, clinical research finance, and auditors.
• Other duties as assigned.
