Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle, WA is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator II to manage interventional Phase I-III trials and observational Cancer Control studies. You will coordinate screening, enrollment, visits, data collection, and specimen management across research teams.

Reporting to the Clinical Trials Coordination leadership, you will support study startup, monitor regulatory compliance, and ensure high-quality study conduct.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years’ experience in a clinical research or cancer registry environment with regulatory or human research protections.
• Knowledge of clinical trials records, procedures, and computerized data processing systems.
• Demonstrated ability to synthesize study conduct and coordinate multiple tasks.
• Familiarity with NIH, FDA, OHRP, ICH-GCP regulations and clinical research databases.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily clinical operations of assigned research studies per protocols, regulatory guidelines, and institutional policy across disease programs and sites.
• Develop and maintain tools for study implementation, data collection, and study onboarding to new assignments.
• Provide study-specific education and training to clinic staff, participants, and stakeholders for compliant protocol implementation.
• Coordinate patient enrollment by reviewing records for eligibility, obtaining informed consent, and maintaining enrollment records.
• Schedule visits and ensure protocol compliance for procedures, labs, and patient activities; assist with patient education and study medication accountability.
• Provide temporary operational support during staffing vacancies, surges, and study startup activities to maintain research continuity.
• Prepare requisition forms, assemble kits, transport samples, and track supplies per study guidelines.
• Identify, track, and confirm billable activities; assist in reviewing patient charges for billing compliance.
• Serve as protocol liaison with clinical teams, patients, sponsors, and staff across multiple studies.
• Prepare and coordinate monitoring visits and address queries from study monitors.
• Maintain current knowledge of clinical research regulations and best practices through ongoing development.
• Maintain source documentation and data entry per protocol and regulatory requirements.
• May travel between sites to support operations and research activities.
• Demonstrate ability to rapidly integrate into new study teams and portfolios.
• Other duties as assigned.
