A full-time Clinical Research Coordinator I position is available in the Connectome 2.0 group of the Athinoula A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging, Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). The successful candidate will be working in the advanced MRI laboratory led by Dr. Susie Huang. The primary responsibilities include managing clinical, basic science, and technology research studies within the laboratory.
Working independently under the PI, the coordinator will be responsible for pre-screening of healthy volunteers and patients, scheduling and recruitment, as well as administrative duties related to the operation of the study protocol. They will assist in spreadsheet management, maintaining protocols for data security, access, and quality assurance. The role also involves coordinating study activities, including recruiting and scheduling participants, acquiring MRI data, and positioning patients and volunteers in the MRI scanner. The individual will oversee experimental sessions and assist with basic neuroimaging data analysis.
They will work under the general direction of the PI and lab staff to coordinate research, perform regulatory and compliance activities, and monitor laboratory safety. Collaboration with research staff to coordinate study visits and data analysis is essential to meet the laboratory's goals and commitments.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Science required. Fields such as psychology, neuroscience, or premedical science are desirable.
Experience: 0-1 year of relevant research project work preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY: Responsible for ordering research and office supplies, monitoring invoices, and processing subject remuneration including parking.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Work will be conducted at Buildings 75 and 149, CNY. Responsibilities include being present in MRI scanner bays and assisting with setup, which may involve some lifting and physical activities.
