Job summary

Mount Sinai is seeking a Clinical Program Manager, Patient Safety & Quality Manager (RN or NP) to enhance patient outcomes within the Critical Care Institute. The role focuses on developing and monitoring quality care initiatives for critically ill patients, leading cross-functional teams across nursing, medical staff, and administration.

Qualifications

• 5 years directly related experience (supervisory preferred).
• New York State License with current RN registration.
• Certification in specialty area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with nursing staff, leadership, medical staff, and administrative staff.
• Monitor quality performance metrics established by ICCM and Mount Sinai Health System.
• Help interdisciplinary teams identify areas of opportunity and provide guidance through the QI process.
• Regularly review clinical documentation to ensure adherence to policy and accepted standards of care.
• Help reduce healthcare-associated infections (HAI) by providing recommendations for invasive device removal when clinically appropriate.
• Consult with medical providers regarding NHSN guidelines to ensure accuracy and compliance with established healthcare standards.
• Organize and facilitate high-level presentations on behalf of ICCM, including designing slide decks, creating meeting agendas, maintaining minutes, and providing follow-up on deliverables.
• Provide quality improvement education/seminars.
