Job summary

Mount Sinai's Patient Safety and Quality (PSQ) department seeks a PSQ Manager to lead quality initiatives across ICCM, collaborating with clinicians, administration, and stakeholders to advance safe, high-quality care for critically ill patients at all Mount Sinai Hospital System sites.

This full-time, on-site role at the Upper East Side campus requires nursing leadership, data-driven improvement, and strong communication.

Qualifications

Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing is required.
Masters in Nursing or health-related field is preferred.
New York State License with current registration as a registered professional nurse; certification in specialty area preferred.

Responsibilities

Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with nursing staff, leadership, medical staff and other administrative staff.
Monitor quality performance metrics established by ICCM and Mount Sinai Health System.
Assist interdisciplinary teams to identify opportunities and guide through QI processes.
Regularly review clinical documentation to ensure adherence to policy and standards of care.
Help reduce healthcare-associated infections by advising on invasive device removal when appropriate.
Consult with medical providers on NHSN guidelines for compliance with healthcare standards.
Organize and facilitate high-level ICCM presentations, including decks, agendas, minutes, and follow-ups.
Provide quality improvement education and seminars.
