Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a licensed mental health professional to join the Adult Mental Health Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at the Aurora Behavioral Health Center Sheboygan.

The role involves group, individual and family therapy with a schedule of Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, and no weekends or on-call responsibilities. The compensation range is $28.55 to $49.60 per hour, with benefits.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant human services field (Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy) from an accredited program is required.
• Full licensure in the applicable state is required.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience is required.
• CPI and CPR training are required for psychotherapists working in inpatient psychiatric settings.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements and evaluates patient care according to identified needs.
• Manages clients in crisis utilizing appropriate therapeutic skills and assessment techniques.
• Writes appropriate treatment plans according to patient diagnosis, age and clinical presentation. Writes appropriate discharge plans based on individual needs of client and follows through with termination process.
• Collaborates with appropriate guardians and community agencies to insure effective service delivery.
• Completes patient care assignments with attention to detail and accuracy. Provides accurate and consistent documentation of patient care/response in the medical record. Completes accurate and timely billing information.
• Designs, plans, implements effective patient education.

Education
