Job summary

UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Project Manager for Health System Information Services (HSIS) to gather and review business requirements, map resources, and document project specifications. The role focuses on coordinating activities, defining responsibilities, and ensuring alignment with HSIS objectives.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related field with at least six years of experience and may pursue certifications such as PMP or Six

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or a related field and six (6) years of related experience required.
• Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
• Project Management or Process certifications preferred (PMP, Agile, Six Sigma, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Leads project meetings, documents participants, next steps, and decisions.
• Performs contract analysis and submits findings for review and approval.
• Manages creation of long and short-term project plans with milestones and deadlines.
• Serves as point of contact for multiple units on a project to keep actions aligned.
• Identifies measurable benefits of proposed projects and communicates status to sponsors.
