Job summary

UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL seeks an experienced Project Manager to gather and review business requirements, map resources, and document project scope. You will coordinate project team activities, communicate with customers on delays, and present updates to the CIO Office.

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or a related field with eight years of related experience.
Project Management or process certifications preferred (PMP, Agile, Six Sigma, etc.)
This is an onsite project management position.

Responsibilities

Gather and review business requirements, technical specifications, business process redesign and information workflow.
Identify resources to map, create and document needed project specifications.
Define the role of each project team member to coordinate activities.
Communicate regularly with customers about delays and issues.
Deliver electronic presentations about project initiation, status and closure to the CIO office.
Attend relevant huddle meetings and mentor junior PM staff as needed.
