Job summary

University Health System- San Antonio is seeking an Information Systems (IS) Project Manager to lead multifaceted IT initiatives, ensuring delivery within scope, deadlines, budget, and quality.

The role partners with business SMEs, reports to Senior Leadership, and directs all project activities across the SDLC, including waterfall, RUP, and Agile approaches; PMP certification and healthcare experience are required. Experience with Jira and Cognizant Product suite is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Health Information Management, Information Systems.
• PMP or other project management certification required.
• Eight years of project management experience leading technical projects.
• Eight years’ experience with all aspects of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Five years’ healthcare experience, specifically dealing with MCO claims and clinical data.

Responsibilities

• Manage multifaceted IS projects ensuring scope, deadlines, budget, and quality standards.
• Provide project leadership across all phases, partnering with business SMEs.
• Report progress or matrix reports to Senior Leadership and oversee all IT project activities.
