Job summary

Racine County is seeking a Clinical Director to provide clinical and supervisory oversight for the Community Support Program and supervise clinical coordinators. You will develop programs, manage staff, and coordinate budgets for federal, state, and local funds, ensuring DHS 63 compliance and integration of new policies.

The role requires a Master's in social work or counseling with appropriate licensure, substantial supervised clinical experience, and supervisory background.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work or counseling and licenses as above.
• Extensive supervised clinical experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to manage crisis and emergency mental health services.
• Knowledge of DHS 63 and related state statutes.
• Valid Wisconsin driver's license for required travel; insured vehicle.
• Proficiency with MS Office and EMR systems.
• Strong written and oral communication; teamwork oriented.

Responsibilities

• Develop, operate and administrate programs and contracted services for CSP.
• Provide supervision to assigned workers.
• Manage staff workload and assignment distribution.
• Coordinate plans and budgets for federal/state/local funds for mental health services.
• Contribute to comprehensive county mental health planning.
• Oversee compliance with DHS 63 and related policies.
• Implement new legislation and procedures into practice and monitoring.
• Arrange staffing coverage for CSP Program.
• Facilitate ongoing training and professional development for CSP staff.
• Ensure staff compliance with clinical supervision, training and Medicaid requirements.
• Inform Clinical Director of practice expectations and implementations.
• Make intervention and assessment decisions using Best Practice.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, families, schools and other providers.
• Consult with unit supervisors on client needs and service impact.
• Select and evaluate unit staff; advise on personnel decisions.
• Maintain medical/financial records and documentation.
• Complete medical record documentation including assessments and crisis plans.
• Provide backup coverage; after-hours supervisory oversight for crisis workers.
• Coordinate with on-call workers for emergency investigations.
• Perform other duties including emergency response.
