Job summary

The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is seeking a Clinical Program Manager to assure compliance with orientation, competency assessment, and interventions for nursing staff in the Staten Island Clinic. You will interface with multiple departments to support clinical practice, staff performance, and outcome measurement.

Responsibilities include leading education initiatives, developing SOPs, budgeting, and coordinating performance improvement activities with cross-functional teams;

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing required; Masters in Nursing or health-related field preferred.
• 5 years directly related experience (some supervisory preferred).
• New York State License with current registration as a registered nurse; specialty area certification preferred.
• Ability to commute to Staten Island Clinic.

Responsibilities

• Oversees clinical operations within the program and uses data-driven methods to improve processes and outcomes.
• Recruits, orients, trains, coaches, counsels, mentors, disciplines, and evaluates staff per policies; communicates department objectives.
• Develops and manages departmental budget with financial oversight.
• Plans, develops, and maintains standard operating procedures; reviews and updates policies as needed.
• Coordinates educational and performance improvement activities with Nursing, Medical, and Quality Leadership.
