Mount Sinai Morningside is seeking a Clinical Program Manager to ensure compliant orientation, competency assessment, and interventions for designated nursing staff. You will collaborate with Nursing, Medical, and Quality Leadership to drive clinical performance improvements and educational activities.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing is required.
• Masters in Nursing or health related field is preferred.
• NP Certification in specialty area preferred.
• 5 years directly related experience (supervisory preferred); New York State RN license with current registration; certification in specialty area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees clinical operations and uses data-driven methods to improve processes and outcomes while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Recruits, orients, trains, coaches, mentors, counsels, disciplines, and evaluates staff; communicates department goals and assigns tasks.
• Develops and reconciles the departmental budget with financial oversight.
• Plans and maintains departmental standard operating procedures; reviews and updates policies as needed.
• Coordinates educational and performance improvement activities with Nursing, Medical and Quality Leadership.
• Designs action plans to improve clinical performance and provides educational resources to departments.
• Establishes short- and long-term goals, policies, and operating procedures for high nursing performance.
• Coordinates daily educational program activities aligned with program objectives.
• Oversees collection, compilation, and analysis of clinical program activity data to evaluate performance.
• Provides technical assistance and education to clinical staff on orientation, assessment, and improvement activities.
• Serves as a clinical role model and resource to the nursing staff.
• Prepares reports on orientation of new hires and ongoing competency; identifies trends for action.
• Collaborates with health care team on policies and standards of care for designated patient populations.
• Demonstrates knowledge of hospital and department standards; ensures readiness for Joint Commission surveys.
• Participates in budget-conscious activities and financial planning.
• Maintains professional knowledge through education and professional networks.
• Participates in performance appraisals of designated Nursing staff.
