Job summary

Community Health Resources is seeking a Clinical Program Director for Heartwood Home in Willimantic, CT. This full-time role leads a 12-bed residential program for men 18+.

The position emphasizes clinical direction, crisis intervention, staff supervision, and program quality improvements in a structured recovery environment. Requirements include a Master’s in a mental health field, 3–5 years as a clinician, and CT licensure (LCSW/LMFT/LPC or psychologist) with LADC substitution in some cases.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in mental health related field required.
• Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience as a Clinician.
• Two years of clinical supervisory experience or management in a behavioral health setting preferred.
• LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or Licensed Psychologist required in CT.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical direction and leadership within the Team.
• Ensures clients receive services focused on presenting problems and treatment requests.
• Directs crisis intervention efforts and intervenes as required.
• Monitors caseloads and admission/continued stay and discharge criteria.
• Oversees hiring, training, and performance management of staff within the program.
• Facilitates team meetings and participates in internal/external meetings as needed.
• Ensures timely documentation compliant with program, agency, funder and licensing standards.
• Acts as primary point person for the program and provides back-up coverage as needed.
• Ensures maintenance of vehicles and collaboration across teams to improve quality and outcomes.
• Oversees chart audits and insurance authorizations; develops and executes marketing plan.
