Job summary

La Amistad Behavioral Health Services is seeking a Clinical Program Coordinator (Full-Time, 32 hours weekly) to support residents in a hybrid role blending clinical interventions with milieu management. The position reports to the Program Manager and requires willingness to work one weekend day per week.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree in social work or mental health counseling and Florida Intern registration.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, mental health counseling, or related field.
• Experience or training in clinical intervention with children/adolescents preferred.
• Strong skills in assessing stabilization, risk factors and verbal de-escalation.

Responsibilities

• Assists and monitors residents with a supportive, alert attitude toward residents, families, staff and management.
• Interacts therapeutically with residents in individual, community, and group settings.
• Advocates for resident rights and confidentiality.
• Assesses psychiatric diagnoses and applies appropriate intervention techniques.
• Runs psychoeducation and enrichment groups in afternoon and weekend programming.
