Job summary

Suncoast Behavioral Health Center, part of Universal Health Services (UHS), seeks a Program Coordinator to blend clinical interventions with milieu management. The role emphasizes patient safety on the unit, shift support for MHTs, and delivering psychoeducation alongside other treatment team activities.

Responsibilities include coordinating program schedules, addressing stabilization needs, and developing interventions with Social Services and the treatment team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2–3 years of behavioral health or hospital experience.
• Ability to assess stabilization, risk factors and de-escalation.
• Must lift 50 lbs and participate in restraints; Handle With Care training annually.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety on the unit and assist in managing MHTs on shift.
• Provide clinical interventions and coordinate with the treatment team.
• Run psychoeducation and enrichment groups with afternoon and weekend programming.
• Coordinate schedule fidelity and address patient stabilization during shifts.
• Serve as liaison between Social Services and MHTs for interventions and milieu needs.
• Support Learning via CPR, Verbal De-escalation and Handle With Care; assist HRD with online learning.
