Job summary

BD is seeking a field-based Clinical Support Specialist for the Specimen Management unit across multiple states. You’ll observe clinical practices and recommend best-practice process optimizations, engaging with hospital leadership to drive efficiency and better patient outcomes.

You’ll maintain product knowledge as a specimen management expert, collaborate with key opinion leaders, and lead change and process-improvement initiatives aligned with BD’s healthcare objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, nursing, life science or relevant field; MT ASCP, LEAN certification or obtain within 6 months.
• Minimum 4–6 years’ experience in process improvement, best practices, and change management in Medical Device/IVD industries.
• Strong financial and analytical skills; basic knowledge of Hospital/Laboratory IT (LIS data).

Responsibilities

• Observe current clinical practice and recommend Best Practice process optimization in clinical laboratory and nursing processes.
• Foster partnerships between Specimen Management and BD customers in a Clinical Process advisory capacity.
• Lead change management activities and drive project goals for efficiency and department effectiveness.
• Interview stakeholders and process owners to support improvement recommendations.
