The Physician Practice Supervisor provides oversight and direction to the day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring that patient care services are provided professionally and efficiently. The role emphasizes exceptional customer service and continuous improvement in practice operations. The supervisor is responsible for direct staff supervision and reports directly to the manager. They coordinate activities across various services within the practice (such as lab and radiology) along with departmental managers. Maintaining a full understanding of practice operations, the supervisor provides backup to front staff as needed, ensures professional and quality service delivery, and functions independently and self-directed. The role requires diplomacy, discretion, and strong interpersonal skills. All responsibilities must be conducted in accordance with SMHC's policies and procedures and in compliance with applicable laws and mandates related to patient care and business activities.
