Job summary

SmithRx in Minneapolis seeks a Plan Operations Pharmacist to support clinical needs and decision making for client plans during implementation, provide proactive recommendations, and serve as a trusted advisor for clinical pharmacy services.

You will collaborate with Implementation Managers, provide formulary insights, and help tailor programs to client goals while keeping compliance and cost-savings at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Pharmacy required (PharmD or RPh).
• Current, unrestricted pharmacist license in the primary residence state.
• 3+ years’ experience as a licensed pharmacist in healthcare settings.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients and Implementation Managers to provide clinical expertise and formulary guidance.
• Serve as a clinical subject matter expert to support Plan Operations activities.
• Explain formulary value propositions to clients and internal teams.
• Develop and update clinical marketing materials for go-live activities.
• Monitor market trends and provide clinical market intelligence.
• Communicate drug information and respond to plan-specific inquiries.
• Support cost-saving clinical programs for new groups.
• Analyze data and interpret drug benefit designs.
