SmithRx is a fast-growing Health-Tech company delivering next-generation PBM solutions. The Plan Operations Pharmacist role supports clinical decision-making during implementation, partnering with client leadership to align on formulary, drug spend, and program value.

You will advise on clinical strategies and enable internal teams with timely insights. The position emphasizes executive communication, cross-functional collaboration, and a strong focus on customer success to drive satisfaction

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Pharmacy required (PharmD or RPh).
• Current and unrestricted Pharmacist license in state of residence.
• 3+ years licensed pharmacist experience.
• 2+ years knowledge of healthcare benefits, PBM or commercial insurance preferred.
• 2+ years client-facing experience required.
• Executive-level communication and interpersonal skills needed.
• Passion for customer experience and satisfaction.
• Collaborative approach with cross-functional teams.
• Independent, self-driven work style with initiative.
• Empathic communicator with consultative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical expertise on drug spend, utilization, and formulary compliance for new groups.
• Serve as clinical SME to support Plan Operation team activities.
• Act as liaison between Plan Operations and internal SmithRx teams.
• Explain formulary and program value propositions to clients and teams.
• Communicate formulary changes and program updates to partners.
• Recommend clinical programs to deliver client cost savings.
• Stay current with market trends and provide clinical intel.
• Respond to plan-specific clinical inquiries from clients.
• Create/update clinical marketing materials for go-live events.
• Analyze data and clearly articulate reporting needs.
