Job summary

Shirley Ryan AbilityLab seeks a Physical Therapist to optimize function and mobility using validated assessments and evidence-based interventions. You will develop customized rehabilitation plans, set functional goals with patients, and document progress for physicians and payors.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, supervise students, and contribute to research integration while supporting discharge planning and home exercise programs.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Licensed to practice in Illinois with current credentials.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Conducts advanced neuromuscular, musculoskeletal and cardiovascular evaluations.
• Delivers interventions based on latest research and best practices.
• Designs/revises rehab programs using objective outcome measures.
• Sets patient-centered functional goals and educates patients.
• Documents progress and communicates with physicians and insurers.
• Assists with DME devices and home program planning.
• Supervises PT students and supports research integration.
