Qualifications

• Minimum Pharmacy Residency (PGY1) or 4 years of demonstrated clinical experience.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in the state of PA or eligible to obtain licensure within 120 days.
• Preferred PGY2-Residency

Responsibilities

• Provides pharmaceutical care in their specialty practice area including reviewing patient drug history and optimizing therapy.
• Plans and measures clinical processes to improve outcomes while minimizing adverse events.
• Coaches and trains Pharmacists, Pharmacy Residents, students and healthcare staff in clinical processes.
• Promotes interdisciplinary teamwork and development of clinical pathways for safe medication use.
• Supports planning of pharmaceutical care to meet department goals and may assist supervisor/basic duties.
• Mentors Pharmacy Residents to become clinical specialists when applicable.
• Contributes to the medical community by presenting research or publishing results.
