Qualifications
- BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited institution.
- Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
- Certified Immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.
- At least 1 year pharmacy experience including dispensing, recordkeeping, compliance, and insurance billing.
- Experience with prescription dispensing and state/federal controlled substances laws.
- Leadership performance rating from prior review if available.
Responsibilities
- Counsels patients on medicine usage, side effects, interactions and generics.
- Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification and med management.
- Reviews and dispenses prescribed medications accurately.
- Ensures compliant, efficient pharmacy operations and staffing.
- Maintains Good Faith Dispensing and regulatory compliance.
- Develops partnerships with local healthcare providers.
