Walgreens is seeking an experienced Pharmacist to lead pharmacy operations, ensure accurate dispensing, and maintain regulatory compliance across a high-volume store. You will manage workflow, staff performance, and patient experiences while delivering immunizations and clinical services.

The role emphasizes attention to medication safety, insurance billing, and collaboration with providers to optimize patient outcomes in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited college.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year pharmacy experience including prescription filling, recordkeeping, legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems and insurance billing.
• Experience with state and federal controlled substance laws.

Responsabilités

• Greet and assist patients, resolve issues, and ensure a positive patient experience.
• Counsel patients on medication usage, interactions, and generics while safeguarding privacy.
• Perform pharmacy tasks including compounding, therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and efficient workflow, supervise staff scheduling and shift changes.
• Manage insurance claims processing and liaise with providers to minimize rejections.
• Support training and performance reviews to develop pharmacy staff.
• Deliver clinical and wellness services such as immunizations and disease state management.
