Job summary

Walgreens Co. seeks a Pharmacy Manager to lead pharmacy operations, immunization programs, and clinical services. You will review dispensed medications, ensure regulatory compliance, manage workflow, and coach staff to deliver exceptional patient care.

The role emphasizes patient counseling, safe medication practices, and collaboration with providers to optimize outcomes. Experience in pharmacy management and proficiency with pharmacy systems are required.

Qualifications

BS in Pharmacy or PharmD degree from an accredited institution.
Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
Certified Immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.
At least 1 year pharmacy experience including prescription filling, recordkeeping, and insurance billing.
Experience with prescription dispensing and knowledge of state/federal controlled substance laws.

Responsibilities

Counsels patients on medication usage, side effects, interactions, and privacy; refers to medical providers as needed.
Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification and medication management.
Reviews, interprets and accurately dispenses prescribed medications; ensures compliance with regulations and policies.
Oversees pharmacy workflow, staffing, scheduling, and performance management; opens/closes the pharmacy and handles shift changes.
Ensures Good Faith Dispensing elements align with laws and company policies; collaborates on strategic opportunities.
