Job summary

Walgreens Boots Alliance is seeking a post-graduate pharmacist with supervision to fulfill state requirements, provide medication consulting, and ensure proper dispensing within regulatory guidelines.

The role supports pharmacy workflow, inventory management and services such as immunizations, drug therapy reviews and patient counseling while aiding the pharmacy manager in operational optimization.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist with foreign degree and internship licensure requirements.
• Intern permit or certificate required by the state Board of Pharmacy.
• Willingness to obtain licensure within 45 days of internship hours.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on usage, side effects, drug interactions and refers to medical provider as needed.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification and medication management.
• Reviews, interprets and dispenses prescribed medications accurately and within regulatory guidelines.
• Supports efficient workflow, inventory management and customer experience improvements.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from accredited University outside the United States

Foreign Pharmacist Graduate Equivalency Certificate (FPGEC)

Intern permit/certificate issued by the respective Board of Pharmacy
