The internship emphasizes hands-on compounding, drug information support, and entry of orders in the patient profile, with increasing clinical responsibilities as you progress with your PharmD curriculum.

Qualifikationen

• Must be available to work a minimum of 36 weekends annually.
• Must be available for a minimum of 1 major and 2 minor holidays annually.
• Must be available and willing to work a minimum of 32 hours monthly.
• Demonstrated ability to perform pharmacy calculations and use an analytical balance.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under constant pressure.
• Must be able and willing to work at all UCSF Health campuses.
• Licensed Intern Pharmacist by the California Board of Pharmacy and in good standing.

Aufgaben

• Dispense and distribute medications under supervision by a licensed pharmacist.
• Participate in computer entries of medications and prescriptions as directed by a pharmacist.
• Provide clinical pharmacy services and support drug information for clinicians and patients.
• Assist in compounding and preparing pharmaceutical preparations as needed.
• Collaborate with nursing units to maintain positive relationships and patient care.
