The University of California - San Diego Medical Centers is seeking an Intern Pharmacist to assist the pharmacist with patient counseling, transferring prescriptions, and supporting the Med to Bed program by delivering medication and counseling at the bedside.

You will perform duties in a specialized area, help prepare medications, enter orders, maintain inventory, and support distribution duties across assigned areas while complying with hospital procedures and safety standards.

Qualifikationen

• California Board of Pharmacy Intern Pharmacist License.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service and counseling skills,ability to operate computer systems.
• Proven teaching skills and writing skills, which can be applied to article publication in hospital newsletter and professional journal.

• Assist the pharmacist with patient counseling at bedside and during discharge planning.
• Transfer prescriptions and support Med to Bed program with medication delivery.
• Prepare medications (oral and parenteral) and help in distribution and order entry.
• Maintain inventory and assist in billing functions and record keeping.
