Job summary

UCSF Health seeks an Intern Pharmacist to support the Pharmacy Services across UCSF Medical Center locations. You will assist in dispensing, medication distribution, and clinical services under a licensed pharmacist's supervision.

You may also participate in computer entry and documentation of medications and patient profiles. As you progress academically, responsibilities will expand under supervision, aligning with department needs and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with a large, diverse population.
• Ability to compound pharmaceutical preparations and perform calculations.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
• Must be able to work at all UCSF Health campuses as needed.
• Willingness to work weekends, major/minor holidays, and meet monthly hour requirements.

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescriptions and distribute medications under supervision.
• Provide clinical services and participate in patient care activities.
• Enter medications and prescriptions into computer systems as directed by a pharmacist.
