Job summary

Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center (part of Johns Hopkins Medicine) seeks a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist- Informatics to optimize Epic workflows and support clinical pharmacy services. The role focuses on system improvements, cost efficiency, and collaboration with clinical teams to enhance patient care.

The position requires a PharmD/BS, 5+ years in clinical informatics or pharmacy, Maryland licensure, PGY1 residency, and board certification.

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited College of Pharmacy resulting in a B.S. or PharmD degree.
5+ years of experience in clinical informatics or pharmacy.
Registered in the State of Maryland as a Pharmacist.
Completion of a PGY1 ASHP-accredited residency program or equivalent experience.
Board Certification in applicable area required.

Responsibilities

Improve workflows and processes to drive efficiency and cost savings.
Monitor medication lists and review medication cost reports.
Investigate inventory issues and manage medications within order sets.
Review Epic upgrade documentation to ensure smooth system updates and maintain service excellence.
