Job summary

The University of Miami Hospital and Clinics Sylvester Cancer Center is seeking a Full Time Clinical Informatics Pharmacist to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of pharmacy IT systems and workflows.

This role serves as the primary subject matter expert for pharmacy applications and acts as a liaison with the Epic IT team and vendor partners to ensure safe, efficient medication-use processes.

Qualifications

• Education: PharmD required; Certification and Licensing.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between Pharmacy, Epic, vendor partners, and clinical stakeholders to support needs.
• Lead design, configuration, and optimization of pharmacy clinical applications (Epic Beacon, Willow, order management, dispensing, CPOE, IV, barcode, supply chain).
• Conduct workflow assessments and define user requirements to align tech with procedures and best practices.
• Oversee governance of order sets, chemotherapy protocols, and clinical content for safety and policy alignment.
• Lead application implementation: build, test, go-live support, and issue resolution for reliability.
• Facilitate governance committees and stakeholder meetings to prioritize enhancements and standardization.
• Collaborate with Pharmacy and Therapeutics, billing, analysts to support policy translation and reporting needs.
• Monitor incidents and provide user support to maintain performance and satisfaction.
• Support user training and competency for tech-enabled workflows.
• Assist with lifecycle management, releases, data conversion, and vendor relations.
• Adhere to policies and safeguard university assets.
