Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist with Illinois licensure or equivalent.
• Experience with chemotherapy agents is desirable.
• Knowledge of pharmacokinetics and IV admixture beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Checks all medications leaving the department for quality assurance.
• Dispenses medications per physician orders and ensures accurate dosing.
• Communicates with healthcare professionals regarding orders and potential drug interactions.
• Operates HBOC and Omnicell systems; supports technicians and dosing services.
• Monitors adverse drug reactions and maintains accurate patient charts.
