Responsibilities

• Oversees pharmaceutical care including retrieving and evaluating literature and designing therapy regimens.
• Counsels patients and caregivers on medication therapy, adverse effects, and administration.
• Designs, monitors and evaluates patient-specific regimens based on biomedical literature.
• Reviews and interprets medication orders and prescriptions accurately.
• Participates in management of medical emergencies when applicable.
• Supports medication safety and quality improvement activities.
