Qualifications

• Education: BS in Science or PharmD.
• Experience: 1 year of pharmacy experience.
• Licenses/Certifications: Texas State Board of Pharmacy licensure upon hire; ACPE-IV Sterile Compounding; BLS (ACPE/IV) required; inpatient ACLS within 180 days for some roles.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties in accordance with policies, procedures, and laws.
• Reviews medication orders for appropriateness and safety; documents interventions.
• Manages technicians and ensures accurate distribution from IV/central pharmacy or automated dispensing.
• Communicates drug information to physicians and staff; supports patient education.
• Supports cost containment and formulary adherence; participates in quality and compliance activities.
