Job summary
Corewell Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids is seeking a clinical pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical care, medication management, and patient education in a busy inpatient setting. You will supervise Pharmacy Technicians and Interns, review drug therapies, prevent interactions, and participate in cost-conscious initiatives.
The ideal candidate holds Pharm.D. (or BS in Pharmacy) with Michigan licensure, residency training preferred, and relevant hospital experience.
Qualifications
- Pharm.D. or Bachelor degree in pharmacy is required.
- Residency training (PGY1 or PGY2) preferred.
- Michigan pharmacist licensure required within 90 days.
- Immunization and basic life support certifications required or as stated.
Responsibilities
- Provides pharmaceutical care and medication management per standards.
- Supervises Pharmacy Technicians and Interns in daily activities.
- Reviews drug therapy for interactions, duplications, and formulary compliance.
- Delivers patient education related to medications and therapies.
- Participates in cost-avoidance and quality/safety programs.
- Collaborates with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
