Job summary

Corewell Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids seeks a Clinical Pharmacist to ensure safe, effective medication use and act as a consultant to the health care team. You will work with multiple automation systems and educate patients and staff on optimal drug therapy.

The role requires hospital pharmacy experience, MI licensure, and current certifications such as ACLS/PALS/BLS. A comprehensive benefits package and on-demand pay are available, with a 40-hour work week and rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy.
• 2 years of relevant hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• ASHP-accredited residency in Pharmacy Practice preferred.
• MI Pharmacist licensure (Clinical) required.
• MI Pharmacist licensure (Controlled Substances) required.
• ACLS/PALS/BLS certifications required or 180 days to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Interprets medication orders for appropriate agent, dose, route, allergies, and interactions.
• Safely compounds and dispenses medications for patient administration.
• Advise prescribers on dosage regimens to optimize outcomes and control costs.
• Supervise technicians, residents, interns, and support staff as appropriate.
• Educate patients and families on medication use and safety.
