Job summary

Weis Markets is seeking a Pharmacist to oversee the pharmacy operations and ensure the accuracy of prescriptions, including Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance in line with state and federal regulations. The role requires a BS or PharmD in Pharmacy and Immunization Certification, with responsibility for supervising Pharmacy Technicians, training staff, and assisting the Pharmacy Manager.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (BS), Doctoral degree (PHARM.D.), or equivalent in Pharmacy.
Immunization Certification through an accredited organization (i.e., APhA).

Responsibilities

Ensure accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions filled.
Build profitable business and script growth through clinical programs including immunization and MTM when available.
supervise Pharmacy Technicians and support staff; train and coach associates.
Manage the pharmacy in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager; ensure security and compliance.
Interact with physicians and resolve prescription-related issues; maintain pharmacy cleanliness and order.
