The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks a Pharmacist II to provide staff pharmaceutical services at the San Angelo State Supported Living Center in CARLSBAD. You will perform DUR, dispensing, and maintain records while supervising technicians in the Director's absence.

Must be licensed as a Texas Pharmacist and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. This regular, full-time role involves compliance with state laws and disaster response duties, with a benefits package

Qualifications

• Knowledge of principles and techniques used in pharmacy.
• Knowledge of federal and state laws pertaining to the practice of pharmacy.
• Knowledge of psychiatric pharmacotherapy.
• Skills in the operation of applicable pharmacy computer software.
• Skills in reviewing and interpreting laboratory reports.

Responsabilités

• Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule.
• Interprets provider's orders, screening for interactions and allergies (DUR).
• Dispenses correct medications with patient safety in mind.
• Supervises dispensing activities and pharmacy technicians in absence of the Director.
• Collaborates with healthcare professionals to answer drug information questions.
