Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is hiring a staff pharmacist for the San Angelo State Supported Living Center. The role involves clinical and consultative pharmacy services including DUR, dispensing, record-keeping, and supervising pharmacy technicians in the absence of the Pharmacy Director.

You will collaborate with healthcare professionals, manage weekly routines, ensure safety and compliance with state laws, and participate in disaster response/COOP activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist licensed in Texas or eligible for licensure.
• Graduation from an accredited school of pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Interpret provider orders and screen for interactions and allergies (DUR).
• Dispense medications and ensure patient safety.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians when needed and ensure compliance with laws.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to resolve drug information questions.
• Maintain inventory and complete weekly routines for drug orders and records.
