Qualifications

• Supervise Class D pharmacies and allied staff.
• Train personnel on Pharmacy Unit matters.
• Provide guidance to Local Health departments' pharmacies.
• Lead Drug Repackaging Program collaboration with Pharmacist II.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Pharmacist-In-Charge for Central Pharmacy Class A.
• Staff pharmacist for Class D pharmacies; supervise nurses, techs, and PAs.
• Train staff on Pharmacy Unit matters.
• Guide Class D pharmacies operated by Local Health departments.
• Coordinate Drug Repackaging Program with Pharmacist II.
• Repackage and relabel infectious disease drugs per FDA/TSBP rules.
• Plan and coordinate enforcement of drug laws across sites.
• Assist Unit Director and Operations Unit Manager on pharmacist matters.
• Respond to drug inquiries and assist in special projects.
• Provide leadership on healthcare policy, pricing, preparedness, and legislative issues.
• Work under general direction with initiative.
• Support DSHS disaster response efforts.
