Job summary

Edward Hospital in Naperville is seeking a part-time Pharmacist to support clinical pharmacy services. The role involves coordinating daily clinical activities, developing workflows, and educating staff to ensure high-quality patient care. Qualified candidates may hold a Pharm D.

with ACPE accreditation, plus a residency or substantial clinical experience. Illinois licensure, CPR, and ACLS within set timelines are required.

Qualifications

• Pharm D. from an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy (Preferred).
• Clinical residency with a minimum of 2 years of clinical pharmacy practice experience required, or minimum five years of clinical pharmacy practice experience.
• Current Illinois Registered Pharmacist License.
• CPR certification within six weeks of hire.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical pharmacy services daily.
• Assist in development of new pharmacy services and workflows.
• Facilitate staff education and development to ensure competency.
• Supervise pharmacy support personnel and ensure programs are maintained.
• Follow policies and regulatory requirements in job responsibilities.
• Help develop and maintain systems for safe, cost-effective therapies.

Job description

Hourly Pay Range

$58.00 - $89.90. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

• Location: Edward Hospital, Naperville
• Part Time: 20 hours/week
• Hours: Flexible Mon-Fri, Day & Evening shifts with rotating weekends & Holidays (7:00am - 3:30pm, 12:00pm-8:30pm, 2:00pm-10:30pm, 3:00pm- 11:30pm)

What you will need

• Education: Pharm D. from an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy (Preferred)
• Clinical residency with a minimum of 2 years of clinical pharmacy practice experience required, (or) Minimum five years of clinical pharmacy practice experience Required
• License/Certification: Current Illinois Registered Pharmacist License
• Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or Red Cross within six weeks of hire into position.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification or within 90 days of hire into position.

• Responsible for assistance in the coordination of clinical pharmacy services to ensure optimal clinical pharmacy services on a daily basis.
• Assists in the development of new pharmacy services and clinical workflows.
• Facilitates staff education and development to ensure competency.
• Supervises and directs pharmacy support personnel to ensure clinical programs are maintained.
• Follows established policies, procedures, protocols, standards, and regulatory requirements in executing job responsibilities.
• Facilitates the development, implementation, and maintenance of systems that promote desirable patient outcomes through the use of safe, cost-effective drug therapies.
