Job summary

Vanderbilt University Medical Center is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Clinical Team Lead to provide leadership in a specialized healthcare team focused on cardiovascular medicine and surgical ICU patients.

The role includes clinical services such as daily patient review, antimicrobial stewardship, and transitions of care support, with a focus on safe, cost-effective drug therapy and medication safety.

Qualifications

• Provide leadership in a specialized clinical pharmacy team
• Deliver optimal pharmacotherapy goals and monitoring plans
• Lead efforts to prevent medication errors and adverse drug reactions

Responsibilities

• Reviews drug orders to ensure safe, appropriate, cost-effective use of medications.
• Dispenses medications, provides drug information, and manages therapy per policies.
• Maintains quality, safety, and consistency of clinical pharmacy services in assigned areas.
• Supervises support personnel and verifies accuracy of medications prior to dispensing.
• Performs additional duties as assigned within the department.
