Clay Today in Miami, Florida seeks an MD or DO pathologist board-certified or board-eligible in Anatomic Pathology and/or Clinical Pathology to join the University of Miami Hospital system, Jackson Memorial and the Sylvester Cancer Center network. The position involves surgical pathology, intraoperative consultations, gross examinations, autopsies when indicated, and 24-hour call coverage.

Qualifications

Must be an M.D or D.O. who is Board Certified or Board eligible in Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology, or both.
Must be licensed to practice medicine in the State of Florida.

Responsibilities

Patient care services for patients at UMH, JMH and Sylvester Cancer Center and satellites.
Gross description, tissue sampling, microscopic examinations, reporting findings and coding diagnoses.
Performing Frozen Section diagnoses and autopsies when applicable.
24 hours call coverage according to division.
Participate in educational activities of pathology residents, fellows and medical students.
Participate in collaborative research and seek sponsored program funding.
Engage in daily quality assurance and hospital committees.
