Job summary

Merck & Co. in Rahway, NJ seeks a Packaging Technician to join a GMP-based clinical packaging and labeling team. You will perform material, room and equipment staging, execute operations, and maintain documentation according to GDP/GMP standards.

The role is on-site five days a week with first-shift hours, requires visual inspection, training of new staff, and collaboration across departments to ensure accurate sample handling and packaging workflows.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in GMP/GDP environments and following SOPs.
• Ability to repetitively lift up to 50 lbs.
• SAP experience is highly desired.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and basic computer systems.
• Cold Chain experience is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical packaging and labeling operations under GMP.
• Maintain training and compliance with site safety and quality requirements.
• Assist with material, room and equipment staging and documentation.
• Support investigations and internal inspections.
• Coordinate warehouse activities including receiving, storage, and sampling.
• Ensure proper paperwork using GDP and GMP guidelines.
