Job summary

Merck in New Jersey is seeking a Warehouse and Distribution Technician to support GMP-compliant warehouse operations on a 1st shift, onsite five days a week.

You will perform material receipt, inspection, storage, sampling, inventory cycle counts, and shipping coordination in SAP, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to SOPs and safety requirements.

The role emphasizes teamwork, the willingness to learn packaging operations, and clear communication across departments to maintain quality.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of relevant industry experience.
• Ability to repetitively lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to quickly learn new systems.
• Demonstrate competency in GMP, SOPs and GDP guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming material receipt and sample management.
• Receive, inspect and store all warehouse inventory.
• Execute sample collection activities.
• Perform inventory functions: weekly replenishment, cycle counts, and min/max updates.
• Coordinate and execute discard process for expired or unavailable inventory.
• Process order management and material staging in support of packaging/labeling.
• Emergency cold vault coverage when needed.
• Manage shipping activities, freight and logistics.
