Job summary

Merck in Rahway, NJ is seeking motivated individuals for R&D Operations roles to support sterile dosage form development and GMP clinical supply within the FLEx Center, focusing on filling, lyophilization, and capping.

These roles require hands-on processing, GMP documentation, and collaboration with Formulation, Engineering, Quality, and Facilities to ensure safe, compliant manufacturing and on-time delivery of clinical supply.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years as a technician in manufacturing or related facility.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform GMP-related tasks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work overtime during shutdowns or repairs.
• Experience with aseptic or sterile processing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and adjust process and production equipment in a cGMP environment.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, EHS and Engineering to improve reliability.
• Operate high-speed automated systems, including isolators and fillers.
• Maintain accurate electronic records and environmental sampling.
• Support training, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.
