Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. in Rahway, NJ, is seeking qualified candidates for R&D Operations in the FLEx Center to support GMP clinical supply of oral solid dosage, sterile, and specialty forms.

Positions involve hands-on processing, room setup, equipment prep, cleaning, and GMP documentation in a fast-paced team environment. Successful applicants will work closely with formulators, engineers, Quality, Safety, and Facilities to drive performance across the clinical pipeline.

Qualifications

• Requires GMP pharmaceutical experience or equivalent (e.g., chemical, nuclear, military).
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office, SAP, and related databases.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks in a GMP setting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, operates, and cleans equipment and facilities used in development and manufacturing.
• Maintains inventories and transports processing equipment, materials, supplies, and products.
• Executes GMP documentation using paper and electronic systems.
• Maintains knowledge of equipment and assists in troubleshooting and process improvements.
• Participates in safety, quality, and process improvement initiatives.
• Supports investigations and corrective/preventive actions.
