Job summary

The University of Wisconsin—Madison, School of Medicine and Public Health, Department of Pediatrics, Pediatric Clinical Operations, seeks an Administrative Manager to drive operational excellence. You will lead projects, coordinate reporting systems, manage a team, and work with departmental and UW Health leadership to optimize clinical operations and workforce analytics.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of management experience in operational roles with increasing responsibility.
• Direct experience in a clinical operations environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Project management certification or demonstrated project leadership.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage staff, including hiring, transferring, promoting, and performance oversight for at least 2.0 FTE.
• Assist in development and monitoring of budgets and unit expenditures.
• Identify workflow needs and implement strategic and operational improvements.
• Contribute to funding proposals and external sponsorships.
• Lead development of systems, reporting, and dashboards with stakeholders.
• Coordinate program activities across units to ensure efficiency and policy compliance.
• Prepare periodic reports and financial statements for leadership and external agencies.
