Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Typically 3–5 years of clinical experience, often in hospital or leadership role.
• Expert knowledge of EHR and healthcare management software.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily workflow to optimize unit traffic and reduce bottlenecks.
• Coordinate bed management with ER and ICU for rapid patient placement.
• Allocate resources and staff based on patient acuity.
• Lead discharge planning with social workers to improve length of stay and documentation.
• Manage 24/7 staff scheduling and holiday coverage.
• Mediate conflicts among clinical staff and with families.
• Identify training gaps and organize in-service education.
• Set annual goals and conduct performance reviews for nurses and techs.
